Forgotten Coast Law started with a pattern I couldn’t ignore.
I run a law firm called Gellis Law, PLLC, with an estate planning division in Wakulla County called Wakulla Legacy, and I kept noticing the same thing on my calendar: clients driving in from Apalachicola. From Eastpoint. From Carrabelle. An hour each way, sometimes more, to sign a will.
Nobody should have to do that. And the people making that drive were the ones who could manage it — which meant there were plenty of Franklin County families who simply weren’t getting these documents done at all.
So I took an office in Apalachicola. Second floor of the Post Office and Customs House at 20 Avenue D, a building on the National Register of Historic Places that has handled this town’s business since 1923 and still runs a post office downstairs. It’s downtown, across from the Owl Cafe, and it’s where I meet Franklin County clients.
