Franklin County families no longer have to drive to Tallahassee to protect what they’ve built.
I’m glad to share that Forgotten Coast Law is officially open in downtown Apalachicola — a dedicated estate planning practice for the families of Franklin County and the Forgotten Coast.
For years I’ve run an estate planning practice next door in Wakulla County. And for years, I kept noticing the same thing on my calendar: clients driving in from Apalachicola, Eastpoint, and Carrabelle. An hour each way, sometimes more, just to sign a will. The people making that drive were the ones who could manage it — which told me there were plenty of families here who simply weren’t getting these documents done at all.
That never sat right with me. So I did something about it.
Upstairs at the old Post Office
You’ll find my office on the second floor of the Apalachicola Post Office and Customs House at 20 Avenue D — the handsome 1923 building downtown, across from the Owl Cafe, with the Spanish tile roof and the post office still running on the ground floor.
There’s something fitting about it. This building has safeguarded the town’s records and business for over a century. It’s on the National Register of Historic Places. Now, upstairs, the work is safeguarding something just as important to local families: their homes, their land, and their legacies.

I meet clients three ways: at the office downtown, at your own kitchen table anywhere in Franklin County, or by phone and video if you’re out of state. A lot of the people who most need estate planning are the ones least able to drive for it — so I come to them. Eastpoint, Carrabelle, St. George Island, Lanark Village, Alligator Point. If you can’t make it to me, I’ll make it to you.
